Why I am donating to St Michael's Hospice

For the first week in March, I will be donating my income from ZenFit classes, to St Michael's Hospice. Here is why...

In 2009 my dad passed away from lung cancer. He was a non-smoker, fit, healthy, active and always positive! I was and still am a 'daddy's girl'. We did so many fun, adventurous and silly things together.

For any teenager, their last years at high school can be challenging but also, exciting. I loved my time at school.

At that age, I was caught up in GCSE's, spending my spare time at dance classes and trying to squeeze in growing up! I was unaware of the seriousness of the situation and how it was about to affect my future...

So when this horrendous illness, left my dad unable to stay with us any longer, St Michael's hospice looked after him, kept him as comfortable as possible and supported us as a family.

Many people have been affected by cancer. There are so many amazing people out there living with illness or supporting and giving their time to make it all just that little bit more bearable.

This hasn't been easy for me to share but it is an important part of what has brought me to where I am today.

I love what I do and I am lucky to have the skills, the knowledge and the people to share it with. Also, the support from those who have attended my classes, family and friends!

As mentioned, for the first week in March, in memory of my Dad, I will be donating my income from ZenFit classes to St Michael's Hospice.

If you would like to make your own donation you can do so on my JustGiving page, clicking the link below.
